UD4-T ( UD4-C) - the universal flaw detector
of a new generation
with wide compatibility and servicing options.

 

UD4-T(UD4-C) is a technological novelty presented as a continuity of the wide-used flow detector-tomograph UD4T including its conceptual and methodical solutions:

 

Time Correction Gain automatic setting.

Transducers' rating (modification of actual parameters for each transducer used), which allows the utilization of transducers produced by other manufacturers as well as taking into account their individual error and wear-and-tear level).

Measurement of acoustic properties of the materials belonging to tested objects without using additional metrological equipment.

The visualization of defect's position within a metal layer or welding seam.

Direct gaging of equivalent defected area.

The estimation of configuration and defect sizes.

 

However, the digital technologies incorporated within UD4-T enable the creation, within a single block, of a set of ultrasonic devices that perfectly comply with the requirements of a given user. The selection and activation of separate applicable software is performed from the user's "menu", likewise Windows operating where each task is an independent ultrasonic device: Flaw Detector, Thickness Gauge, Tensometer and other. Within UD4-T there is also provided the "multitask" mode, when several US applications can work at the same time (background), for instance, an user operating with non-destructive testing is offered all the modes of thickness gauge and the vice versa.


UD4-T perfectly combines with different specialized NDT equipment, has a wide kit of attendant
accessories as: path-control transducer, acoustic scanner, optical system for binding PET coordinates, as well as other coupling and visualization means.

Flexible functionality, easy setting and using comfortableness make UD4-T an irreplaceable mean for all types of non-destructive testing thus offering the possibility to replace the use of specialized flaw detectors, to unify the instrumentation pool, metrological provision and generally,
to improve testing accuracy and efficiency.

railway testing procedures for the testing of railway car wheel-sets.

Integrated macros language gives the possibility to develop and load new user application for automatic testing of nonstandard and complex objects.

Bright color display, maximum information
 

Large color TFT display with high contrast and resolution provides a clear image of the testing even in direct sunlight;

Full screen A- and B- scan for a better inspection visualization;

Intuitive user interface speeds-up the setting and helps operator rapidly perform the testing procedure.

Interface capabilities
 

Built-in RS232 port performs fast data transfer from the flaw detector archive to PC. Specialized software "Operator's workbench" presents the data in a easy readable form and generates testing reports;

Hard/software support of the infrared port (IRDA) and Ethernet interface (TCP/IP) for data communication with peripheral and technological devices;
